My body of work weaves together nostalgia and surrealism with a focus on personal identity. I draw inspiration from the mundane and childhood documents such as adoption papers and family photos. I mainly create hand drawn illustrations but personal text, printmaking and fibers are often incorporated or are separate works. Projections (2019) intersects memories and transitory interactions and expresses the nuances in adoption, family and race.
